MUDr. Jaroslav Jeníček, CSc

Dr. Jeníček graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Charles University in Prague. Until July 1990, he was employed in the Slaný Hospital in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
From August 1990, he was employed at the II Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the later (9/1998) merged Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the Ist Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General Faculty Hospital in Prague. He gradually worked as a secondary physician in all the departments of the clinic. He began to concentrate on aspects of urogynaecology after 1991.
In 1995, he began to work on the subject of the climacterium. He is currently one of the foremost specialists in this country in this area. Exclusive specialisation in the field allows him to provide: superconsiliary work for gynaecologists in the field in this area, and professional lectures both for women and in the framework of further education of other physicians and preparation of PhD. theses.
The Centre of Climacteric Medicine was established at Lekářský dům in October 2000.
Since April 2000, he has worked as chief physician of the Gynaecology Department of Lekářský dům.
Since May 2000, on the basis of an agreement to carry out work, he has been working in the emergency services at the Clinic of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and FNKV.
Since November 2000, he has worked at the climacterium consulting centre of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and FNKV.
In November 2001, he defended his PhD. thesis "Metabolic changes following castration in the premenopause" and was awarded the title of CSC. (PhD.) by the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno.
